First time filmmaker Paul Socrates Kaitson was born and raised in the Chicago area of Illinois where his parents always instilled the power of prayer. Paul's father Socrates Kaitson was a professional cinematographer and producer director which allowed Paul the opportunity to get a feel of the industry at a young age. Typically Paul would spend most of his time in front of the camera or onstage pursuing a career in acting. Paul especially enjoyed the dialogues he had regarding various film projects with his father. Though his father passed away when he was only fourteen Paul attributes his time with his father as the most notable in shaping his directorial and creative vision. Currently Paul resides in San Diego, California, where he is married to his wife Kelly and seven year old son Andrew. Paul is also a credentialed special education teacher in San Diego where he enjoys bringing his creative and media experience to the classroom. Antique Prayers marks Paul's directorial debut. Antique Prayers is dedicated to his parent Socrates and Helen Kaitson.

Director’s Statement
“As the writer and director of Antique Prayers, I started out in pre-production with a vision of how I wanted this film to look and feel. Once the production began the film was able to go in a direction that only could be done with great collaboration of the cast and crew. Ultimately it was God who brought all these talented people together and God who continues to lead this project.”
